- Thaw pie shell and bake according to box directions.
- Combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium microwaveable bowl and mix well. Some ingredients may not blend well until during/after heating.

- Chocolate Variation: Use 2/3 c. granulated sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa powder instead of the sugar amount indicated in the base recipe.
- Lemon Variation: Use juice from 1/2 of a lemon and 1 c. granulated sugar, instead of the sugar amount indicated in the base recipe.
